No matter if Michael and Ralf Schumacher, Nick Heidfeld, Heinz-Harald Frentzen or Timo Glock: almost every German Formula One driver in recent years has at least once driven for the team of Eddie Jordan.

In 2004 it was Timo Glock's turn when he entered the pinnacle of motorsports as test driver for the team. He also got his first race experience that year, when he received the chance to drive the Canadian GP. He even made two points in his Formula One debut after two cars had been disqualified. He entered three more races that year after Giorgio Pantano could not pay for his race seat anymore.

The following two years Glock drove in the Champ Car Series and in GP2 before he was signed as test driver at BMW Sauber in 2007. In 2007 the German also competed in GP2 alongside his testing duties in Formula One. This way he won the 2007 GP2 Series title and his promotion to a Formula One race drive at Toyota in the following two years. In 36 races for Toyota he earned three podium finishes and 51 points.
